Transporting safely.
Because of the acid hazard, battery scrap cannot be thrown loosely into a regular truck. We stack batteries securely on wooden pallets, separated by cardboard layers to prevent terminal short-circuiting, and shrink-wrap them tightly for transport.

Questions about Battery Scrap.
Do you buy batteries from individual households?
If you only have one dead car battery, the transport cost is too high for a free pickup. We recommend bringing it to our yard. For 10+ batteries, we will dispatch a truck.
Will you buy swollen or leaking batteries?
Yes, but you must notify us in advance. We have to bring specialized acid-resistant containers to transport leaking batteries safely. Swollen batteries (common in UPS systems) are accepted.
Are forklift batteries worth more than car batteries?
Yes, significantly more. Forklift (traction) batteries weigh hundreds of kilos and contain massive, thick lead plates, making them highly valuable per unit.
What happens to the plastic casing?
During the recycling process, the batteries are crushed. The lead sinks, the acid is neutralized, and the plastic casing (usually Polypropylene PP) floats to the top, where it is skimmed off and recycled separately.
