Should you strip the wires?
If you have the time and the right tools, mechanically stripping your cables to reveal the bare copper (Millberry) will always fetch the highest price per kilo.
However, if you have massive tonnages and no industrial stripping machines, selling it as “insulated wire” is much faster. We have industrial granulators that separate the plastic from the copper efficiently.

Do I have to strip my cables before selling?
No, you do not have to. We buy insulated PVC cables as they are. However, stripped bare copper (Millberry) fetches a much higher price per kilo. If you have the time to strip it mechanically, it is worth it.
Can I burn the wires to get the bare copper?
Absolutely not. We do not buy burnt copper. Burning wires is illegal, highly toxic to the environment, and it degrades the quality of the copper metal, making it worth less.
What is the minimum weight for free pickup?

Do you buy AC coils with the aluminum still attached?
Yes. These are known as “Talk” or Copper/Aluminum radiators. We buy them as a single unit, but the price is lower than pure copper tubing because of the aluminum content.
