Do we need to sort the steel from the cables?
We highly recommend it. Copper is worth significantly more than steel. If it is all mixed together, it requires labor to separate, which lowers your overall payout. Keep non-ferrous metals in a separate pile.
What if the rebar is covered in concrete?
Heavy concrete contamination reduces the value of the steel (it is graded lower than clean HMS 1). If the pieces are massive blocks of concrete with just a little rebar sticking out, we may not be able to accept it as scrap metal.
Do you provide the crane for loading?
Yes. If your site does not have an available excavator or crane to load our flatbeds, we will dispatch a crane-equipped truck (boom truck). The cost is factored into the final scrap valuation.
