How do we value machinery?
Machinery valuation isn’t a simple flat rate. It depends on composition.
1. Raw Weight Valuation (HMS & Cast Iron)
For machines that are mostly structural frames (like presses or empty lathes), we price them based on their raw tonnage. This price is directly pegged to the daily LME rate for Heavy Melting Steel (HMS) or Cast Iron.
2. Component Valuation (Copper/Alloy Yield)
If a machine contains massive electric motors, heavy copper busbars, or brass fittings (like a generator or printing press), we factor the high value of these non-ferrous components into the final offer, ensuring you get a much higher overall rate.
